Configuration

3min

The Configuration settings within the Questions & Answers service enable you to customize the moderation process and categorize customer-submitted content. You can manage settings for moderation of both questions and answers, along with the option to add custom statuses for improved content management.

Step 1: Moderation Settings

Moderation allows you to assess and approve questions before they become visible to customers. It ensures the quality and relevance of the content provided in the Questions & Answers section. If moderation is enabled, customer questions and answers will be subject to approval before being published. If moderation is not required, these steps can be bypassed.

  • Enable Question Moderation: Check this option if you want to moderate questions submitted by customers. Leave the box unchecked if moderation is not required.
  • Enable Customer Answer Moderation: Select this option to enable moderation for answers provided by customers. If you do not need this moderation, leave the box unchecked.
  • Enable User Answer Moderation: Check this option if moderation is required for user-submitted answers. If moderation is not needed, leave this unchecked.

Step 2: Add Custom Status

To add a custom status for questions beyond the default accept or reject options, simply include the desired custom status in the list of available statuses. Once you've entered the custom status, click Save to ensure it is successfully added to the list. This allows for greater flexibility in managing and categorizing questions, enabling more specific handling of content as needed.
