Sales Prediction
Sales Prediction helps businesses plan ahead by forecasting future product sales. It analyzes past sales data to identify trends, allowing businesses to make informed decisions about inventory, demand, and pricing.
The service provides sales forecasts for individual products (SKUs) at daily, weekly, or monthly intervals, helping businesses anticipate demand and manage stock levels efficiently.
With an intuitive interface, Sales Prediction is easy to use and provides valuable insights without requiring technical expertise.

Example: If your business sells "Winter Coats" and past sales indicate spikes in demand during November and December:
- The predictions will show increased sales for those months, helping you stock appropriately.
- Similarly, forecasts may indicate lower sales for slower months like June or July, allowing better inventory control.
- Comprehensive Forecasting: Predicts sales for individual SKUs/products over specified future time intervals (days, weeks, months).

1. Login to the UpStart Commerce Portal.
2. From the left navigation panel, go to Search Admin.
3. Click on Sales Visuals.
4. A table will appear showing the products with sufficient data for sales prediction.
- Product Title: The name of the product.
- Product ID: The unique identifier assigned to the product.
- Variants: The number of product variations available.
- Brand: The associated brand of the product.
5. Locate the product in the Sales Predictions table.
6. Click on the graph icon next to the product entry.
7. A graphical representation of the sales prediction for that product will be displayed.
Notes
- Only products with enough historical data will be displayed in this section, meaning sales predictions are only available for these products. Backend configurations determine eligibility, and these settings are not editable.
- The graph provides a visual forecast of sales trends based on historical data, helping businesses anticipate demand and adjust inventory or pricing accordingly.
- The chart is divided by a vertical line, where the left chart represents the actual historical sales, and the right represents the forecasted sales.
Sales Prediction ensures reliable forecasts by comparing its accuracy against historical trends. The service balances precision and consistency to deliver actionable results, helping businesses trust the predicted values to plan better.
- If a product is missing from the list, it means there isn't enough historical data for a reliable sales prediction.
- Predictions are automatically generated based on system-configured models; user adjustments are not required.
- Only products with sufficient historical data are included.
- Predictions rely on past trends and do not account for external disruptions.
- Configurations and prediction criteria are managed at the backend and cannot be modified manually.
