Bulk Upload
This guide equips you with the knowledge to efficiently manage large product datasets within the PIM system. The bulk upload functionality allows you to import comprehensive product information in a single, accessible file. Supported formats like Excel simplify adding or updating product data, significantly enhancing your workflow and overall productivity.
Before diving into bulk uploads, it's crucial to establish a solid foundation for your product data. This involves creating essential building blocks that define the characteristics of your information. Here's an overview:
- Define Product Attributes: These are the individual properties that describe your products, such as color, size, material, and weight.
- Organize Attributes into Groups: Group related attributes together (e.g., "Size" and "Color") to simplify data organization and management.
- Create Product Templates: These templates define the structure of your products and incorporate the established attribute groups.
NOTE: Once you have completed the above foundational steps, you can proceed to create Products and Variants within the PIM system.
- Products: These represent the individual items you offer for sale.
- Variants: These are variations of a product, such as different sizes or colors of the same item.
There are two main methods to set up these building blocks:
A. Manual Creation in the PIM System Frontend: This method allows you to create attributes, attribute groups, product templates, products, variants, swatches, brands, and content buckets individually within the user interface of our Product Information Management (PIM) system.

B. Bulk Upload via Downloaded Templates: The PIM system offers a bulk upload feature to streamline the creation process. You can download pre-defined templates for attributes, attribute groups, product templates, products, and variants. After filling in the downloaded templates with the necessary product details, upload the completed templates back into the PIM system to make them live.
