Bulk Upload States

1min

In this guide, you will learn about the various states you will encounter while uploading files in the bulk upload feature, along with detailed descriptions to help you understand each stage. It involves several stages, each ensuring that your data is validated, processed, and correctly integrated into the PIM system.

  • SCANNING:
    • The system is currently scanning your file for initial validation. This includes checks for correct file format, data structure, and the presence of mandatory fields.
  • SCANNED:
    • The file has been scanned successfully. Initial validation checks have been passed, and the file is ready for further processing.
  • SCREENED_OUT:
    • The file has failed initial validation checks and cannot proceed. Common reasons include missing mandatory fields, incorrect data types, or formatting errors. Review and correct these issues before re-uploading.
  • MAPPING_REQUIRED:
    • Manual mapping of fields is required before proceeding. This means the system needs you to confirm how certain fields in your file correspond to fields in the PIM system. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete this mapping.
  • MAPPING_COMPLETED:
    • Field mapping has been completed. The system now understands how to interpret the data in your file and can proceed with the upload.
  • READY:
    • The file is ready for upload. All preliminary checks and mappings have been completed successfully.
  • UPLOADED:
    • The file has been uploaded to the system. It is now queued for importing into the PIM database.
  • IMPORTING:
    • The file is being imported into the PIM system. The system reads the data from the file and transfers it into the database.
  • IMPORTED:
    • The file has been successfully imported. All data from the file has been transferred into the PIM system.
  • PROCESSING:
    • The system is processing the imported data. This includes validating data integrity, applying business rules, and ensuring all entries meet the PIM standards.
  • PRE_PROCESSING:
    • Preliminary processing of the data is taking place. Initial transformations and data checks are being performed before full processing.
  • PROCESSED:
    • The data has been fully processed. All required checks and transformations have been completed, and the data is ready for final review.
  • ERROR:
    • An error occurred during the upload or processing stage. Review the error messages provided by the system to identify and resolve the specific issues before re-uploading the file.
  • BATCH_READY:
    • The product data batch is ready for final commit and to be made live. All validations and checks have been completed successfully.
  • BATCH_COMMITTED:
    • The data batch has been successfully committed and is now live on the PIM. Your product data should now be visible and accessible.
