Basic Guide to Quotes

4min

Managing quotes for customer orders is crucial for ensuring smooth sales processes. In this guide, we'll take you through the step-by-step process of managing quotes within the UpStart Commerce Portal. We'll cover everything you need to know to optimize your quoting operations. Here's how you can create, access and view quotes.

Create Quotes

The Quotes service in the UpStart Commerce Portal does not support the direct creation of quotes through the user interface. Instead, quote creation is facilitated via API calls from the client's system to UpStart Commerce API.

Once the quote is generated based on the client's input, the relevant quote information is fetched and made viewable on the UpStart Commerce Portal UI.

Additionally, after the API call, an activation link is sent to the customer via email for online orders. When the customer clicks on this link, the quote is converted to a cart, allowing them to place the order.

For detailed information, please refer to the Create QuoteAPI documentation.
