Attribute Group is a structured framework for categorizing and managing product attributes. By organizing attributes into logical groups, users can streamline data entry, analysis, and distribution processes. This structured approach not only enhances data organization but also fosters better decision-making and improves overall data quality.

In this guide, we'll walk you through the step-by-step process of creating Attribute Groups within the PIM system.

2. **Code Friendly Name: **Specify a programming-friendly identifier.

**Note**: Some sections within product templates using Attribute Groups may enforce locked defaults, which cannot be edited within the Attribute Group to ensure consistent product data across the catalog.
:::

## Step 5: Publish Attribute Group

After adding all Attribute Group details, click the **Publish **button to make the attribute group live on the UpStart Commerce Portal.

Ensure that all details are accurate and tailored to your specific requirements before publishing the **Attribute Group**.

**Note:** When modifying an existing Attribute Group, any changes will automatically create a draft with the status **"Edits in Published." **This draft status indicates that changes are saved but not applied to the live version until explicitly published. Saving as a draft allows you to revisit and update the Attribute Group without impacting the current published version.
